About the Program

The Master of Science in Clinical Sciences program provides rigorous training in the skills and competencies necessary to plan, conduct, and interpret superior clinical and translational research. Our program provides a comprehensive, individualized, team-science-based education in the principles and methods of research and in the skills and strategies required for the development of successful academic careers through a didactic and Socratic curriculum.

The degree program is offered through the UT Southwestern School of Health Professions. Program applicants must meet the eligibility and admission requirements of the Graduate School and the Applied Clinical Research Department.

Designed for those who aim to accelerate their clinical and translational research careers, this two-year track is intended for individuals who desire a career in clinical/translational research. The program includes courses on research training, financial planning, leadership, ethics, and career development. Graduates will have the knowledge to plan and conduct their own clinical and translational research and apply for grant funding.
